Planning this application?

Send the site count, signals, network, power and reporting target. We will return a hardware configuration for quotation.

Why it matters

Indoor ventilation and comfort trends are not the same job as outdoor ambient or regulatory monitoring. Start with the decision, required parameters, siting and quality-assurance method, then select the correct sensing and communications hardware.

How it works

  1. 1For occupied rooms, a configurable LoRaWAN monitor collects the selected CO₂, particulate, TVOC, temperature, humidity or room-context fields.
  2. 2For outdoor indicative monitoring, a weather-rated particulate or gas package is selected separately with appropriate siting, inlet, power and maintenance planning.
  3. 3A LoRaWAN, cellular or Ethernet data path forwards agreed fields to the customer platform for trends, alerts and quality review.

Is this the right page?

Use this page when a building needs indoor ventilation or room-environment trends, or when a campus, city or industrial site needs a separately selected outdoor indicative station. Indoor and outdoor hardware are treated as different measurement paths.

Indoor monitoring context

Representative site context. Sensors, interfaces, enclosure, power and mounting are confirmed against the actual project before quotation.

What buyers usually need to monitor

Indoor parameter set

Select only the required CO₂, temperature, humidity, PM, TVOC, pressure, illuminance, PIR, formaldehyde or ozone modules.

Outdoor pollutants

Select particulate or gas channels with a stated instrument class, inlet, environmental rating and maintenance method.

Weather and room context

Outdoor wind and weather, or indoor illuminance and occupancy context, are chosen only when they help interpret the readings.

System health

Power, communication, last report, local storage, quality flags and maintenance records are included in the data plan.

Where the hardware sits in the monitoring path

A planning view, not a fixed bundle. Signal type, protocol, power, network and the customer endpoint are confirmed before quotation.

Typical hardware paths

Path 1

Indoor LoRaWAN room network

Best for: Offices, classrooms, meeting rooms and equipment rooms that need configurable room-level trends.

  1. 1Confirmed sensor modules
  2. 2USB-C power and indoor mounting
  3. 3LoRaWAN gateway and network server
  4. 4Decoded fields in the customer BMS or IoT platform

Path 2

Outdoor indicative monitoring station

Best for: Campus, industrial or city pilots where a weather-rated package and QA plan can be defined.

  1. 1Outdoor instrument package
  2. 2Siting and weather context
  3. 3Cellular or Ethernet gateway and field power
  4. 4Customer database with QA and comparison workflow

Confirm before selection

  • State whether each point is indoor or outdoor before selecting hardware.
  • Define the parameter and decision before choosing a sensor module.
  • State whether measurements are operational, indicative, research or regulatory.
  • For indoor LoRaWAN, confirm the regional plan, gateway, payload fields and room placement.
  • For outdoor work, review siting, airflow, weather exposure, nearby sources and enclosure.
  • Plan calibration or comparison checks, quality flags and missing-data handling.

Send this for a useful quote

  • Indoor / outdoor point count and space or site type
  • Required parameters and decision thresholds
  • Measurement purpose and instrument class
  • LoRaWAN frequency plan or outdoor gateway backhaul
  • Mounting, power, enclosure and anti-theft needs
  • Customer data endpoint, maintenance plan and quantity

Scope boundaries

  • The reviewed LoRaWAN product is an indoor configurable monitor, not a weather-rated outdoor station.
  • Indicative sensors are not automatically equivalent to regulatory reference instruments.
  • Health, compliance or public-warning decisions require the responsible authority’s approved methods, QA and interpretation.

Buyer questions

Does the indoor monitor include every listed sensor?

No. It is configurable. The quotation lists the installed modules, LoRaWAN regional plan and payload fields.

Can the indoor monitor be used outdoors?

Not from the reviewed evidence. Outdoor work needs a separate weather-rated instrument package selected for the site and measurement purpose.

Can these sensors prove regulatory compliance?

Not by default. Suitability depends on the exact instrument, approvals, siting, calibration and local method.

Should weather data be included?

Often yes, because wind, temperature and humidity help interpret air-sensor readings and site conditions.

How should a pilot be planned?

Choose representative rooms or sites, define the comparison or QA method, confirm the network path and agree on the data fields before a wider deployment.
