What the reviewed configuration proves
The reviewed source is a modular single-phase direct-connected smart meter with selectable communication hardware.
- The electrical topology is single-phase two-wire. Three-phase circuits and DIN-rail installations require a different meter family.
- The reviewed current specification is 0.25-5(100) A for direct connection; it is not an external-CT meter configuration.
- PLC, RF and cellular communications are plug-in configuration choices. They are not simultaneous built-in 4G, LoRaWAN and Wi-Fi features.
- RS485 is optional. The exact protocol profile, communication module, carrier or frequency and data endpoint are confirmed for the ordered configuration.
- Use for regulated billing only after the required local utility, metrology and certification acceptance has been confirmed.
Typical applications
- Single-phase commercial and residential remote meter reading
- Distributed submetering where each point requires a local display and selectable communications
- AMI retrofit projects using project-specific PLC, RF or cellular modules
- Operational energy monitoring when the customer system can accept the confirmed meter protocol
