What the reviewed outage queue does — and does not do
Use these limits when the project depends on data recovery after a network interruption.
- The queue must be enabled and works only with the supplier-format MQTT template.
- It holds up to 100,000 data points in RAM. Queued data is lost if the gateway loses power or restarts.
- When the limit is reached, the oldest queued data is deleted.
- Backlog and live data are sent in parallel. Replay speed is not configurable and follows the normal transmission interval.
- The reviewed queue does not apply to custom JSON, Sparkplug B or OPC UA history.
- Original sampling timestamps, replay order and end-to-end integrity have not been verified. Define and test these requirements before purchase.
Typical applications
- Aggregate Modbus devices across 2 or 6 serial ports
- Send field data over Ethernet, optional 4G or Wi-Fi
- Publish selected values to MQTT or expose supported Modbus / OPC UA roles
- Use the reviewed volatile MQTT queue for defined network-outage cases
