Treat battery life and location accuracy as project estimates

The reviewed source supports a long-standby sealed tracker, but runtime, coverage and position quality depend on the ordered radio and the actual reporting profile.

  • The source estimates up to eight years only at one report per day. Temperature, cellular registration, GNSS acquisition, alarms, retries and signal conditions can shorten runtime.
  • LTE Cat.1 and LTE Cat.M are separate regional configurations. Select the destination country, operator, SIM format and radio variant before quotation; this is not an NB-IoT device.
  • The listed 2.5 m CEP 50% figure is a receiver specification, not a guaranteed site-level result. Buildings, containers, sky view and antenna orientation affect location quality.
  • Wi-Fi scanning can assist an indoor-location workflow only when the customer platform has suitable access-point location data. It is not a standalone indoor-position guarantee.
  • MQTT, TCP and UDP support still requires agreement on the server endpoint, payload, security, APN, acknowledgement and store-and-forward behaviour.
  • IP67 / IP69K does not by itself approve submerged use, chemical exposure or every mounting method. The enclosure, fixings, optional sensors and certificates are confirmed for the ordered configuration.
